IDENTITY AND ADDRESS OF THE DATA CONTROLLER

LINK TAO, located in Mexico City, is responsible for the processing, use, and protection of your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (the “Law”).

Official identification

After registration, you must ensure that the information is truthful, complete, and updated promptly when modified. If there are reasons to believe that the information you have provided is incorrect, false, outdated, or incomplete, LINK TAO reserves the right to send you a notice requesting rectification, to directly delete the relevant information, and, as appropriate, to terminate all or part of the services we provide. If we cannot contact you with the information you provided, you will be fully responsible for any loss or expense caused to LINK TAO during the use of the services. You hereby acknowledge and agree that you have the obligation to update all information if any changes occur.

DATA RETENTION

In addition to providing the information, you consent to allow us to retain the information while your account is active and for five (5) years following the closure of your account, in accordance with global industry standards for data storage. You also authorize us to carry out necessary investigations, directly or through a third party, to verify your identity or protect you and/or us from financial crimes, such as fraud. The information we require to verify your identity may include, by way of example, your name, email address, contact information, phone number, username, government-issued ID, date of birth, and other information collected during account registration. By providing the necessary information, you confirm that it is true and accurate.

DATA TRANSFER

LINK TAO may transfer your personal data without your consent to:

Competent national and international authorities, in cases provided by law
Subsidiaries, affiliates, or related companies of LINK TAO
National Electoral Institute and third parties with binding legal agreements for identity verification
Competent tax authorities, in case of operations classified as vulnerable activities

CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION

“Confidential Information” shall mean any information LINK TAO receives or collects about you, including but not limited to your name, address, email, official identification, proof of address, biometric data, and any other information considered confidential. LINK TAO will use and disclose Confidential Information only for the purposes established in this Privacy Notice and will not share it with third parties without your prior express consent.

LINK TAO will take reasonable measures to protect Confidential Information and prevent unauthorized access, loss, unauthorized use, modification, or disclosure. Only authorized employees and agents of LINK TAO will have access to Confidential Information, and only for the purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice. You agree to keep confidential any information you receive from LINK TAO and not share it with third parties without prior express consent. You agree to notify LINK TAO of any unauthorized access or unauthorized use of Confidential Information and to cooperate with LINK TAO to investigate and resolve any incidents related to the security of Confidential Information. Users are strictly prohibited from:

Accessing services through automated or unauthorized means
Violating or attempting to circumvent system security through illegal means
Interfering with the operation of the site or provided services
Falsifying headers, identities, or messages to conceal their identity
Using LINK TAO services for illicit purposes

The confidentiality obligation will last for the period during which LINK TAO is required to protect the Confidential Information, and in any case, for one year after the termination of the legal relationship between you and LINK TAO. This confidentiality clause is an integral part of this Privacy Notice and shall be applied together with the other clauses herein.
